MSCA-PF

Juan de La Cierva (Training)
  • Full name: Ayudas para contratos Juan de la Cierva Formación (FJC)
  • Description: Employment of young people in possession of the degree of doctor, for a period of two years, in order to complete their postdoctoral research training in Spanish R&D centers other than those in which they completed their predoctoral training.

Consolidación investigadora
  • Full name: Consolidación Investigadora (Research Consolidation Grants)
  • Description: These grants are aimed at training new generations of professionals to enable them to acquire the necessary skills for research and innovation in academic and business environments. In order to comply with the aforementioned objective, investment in human resources is considered a priority, both in the predoctoral and postdoctoral fields, professional progress through the stable incorporation of research, technologist and technical personnel to the university, scientific and business field, and the mobility of research staff in the public and private sectors.

Beatriu Pinós
  • Full name: Grants for the incorporation of postdoctoral research personnel into the Catalan science and technology system within the Beatriu de Pinós programme.
  • Description: Individual grants for the hiring and incorporation of doctoral research staff into the Catalan science and technology system. Researchers can freely choose their research project in any subject area.

Postdoctorado Junior Leader
  • Full name: Postdoctoral Junior Leader Fellowships
  • Description: ”la Caixa” Foundation grants 40 postdoctoral Junior Leader fellowships for excellent researchers, of any nationality, who wish to continue their research career in Spain or Portugal in the STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The goal of this programme is to foster high-quality, innovative research in Spain and Portugal and to support the best scientific talent by providing them with an attractive, competitive environment in which to conduct excellent research.
    The Postdoctoral Junior Leader fellowships programme is aimed at hiring excellent researchers, of any nationality, who wish to continue their research career in Spain or Portugal in the STEM area (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The objectives of this programme are to foster high-quality, innovative research in Spain and Portugal and to support the best scientific talent by providing them with an attractive, competitive environment in which to conduct excellent research.
    The Postdoctoral Junior Leader fellowships programme is divided into two different frames:
    • Postdoctorate Junior Leader – Incoming: 20 postdoctoral fellowships for researchers of all nationalities. They will be offered a three-year employment contract to conduct a research project at Spanish centres. Candidates must have resided in Spain less than 12 months in the last three years.
    • Postdoctorate Junior Leader – Retaining: 20 postdoctoral fellowships for researchers of all nationalities to carry out research at any university or research centre in Spain. Candidates must have resided in Spain more than 12 months in the last three years.
  • Call for applications: It is foreseen to close in October 2024.
  • Duration: 3 years
  • Salary: € 47,000 gross per annum
  • Complementary grant: € 38,500 per year will be granted for expenses directly related to the development of the project such as consumables, equipment, personnel costs, registration to conferences, courses or research stays, intellectual property costs, etc., as well as € 5,400 for Mobility assistance for fellows who need to relocate to join the host institution at the beginning of the fellowship (needing to move to a city at a greater distance than 50km). Gross annual family allowance of € 1,200 for each of the researcher’s dependent children.
