Functions to be developed:

The candidate will be integrated in the CENIT Research Group. Working on the PIONEERS project (PORTable Innovation Open Network for Efficiency and Emissions Reduction Solutions), funded by the European Commission. The main tasks of this position, but not exclusively, will include:

• Support in the development of the demonstrations in the Port of Barcelona and evaluation of the results.
• Analysis of the PIONEERS ports’ current Master Plans and methodology.
• Port stakeholder roundtables in each PIONEERS port.
• Impact Assessment and process evaluation.
• Quantitative evaluation of the green port innovations developed in Antwerp in other European ports.
• Green Port Master Plan of a European Port and for the Port of Barcelona.
• Handbook to guide green port planning and implementation for different typologies of ports across Europe.

Required skills:

• Education: master level in engineering, mathematics or economics.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• At least 5 years of proven related professional/academic research experience.
• Experience in maritime/port logistics projects.
  

Other valued skills (not mandatory):

• Scientific publications (international conferences, articles in SCI journals).
• Experience in international projects.
• Another official language of an EU country.
  

Qualification system:

Requisites and Merits will be evaluated first. The final marks will be computed using a weighted average of the following points:

• Scientific publications: 15%
• Previous academic/professional experience in the field of the position: 20%
• Education: 10%
• Language skills: 10%
• Experiences in international projects: 5% 
• Interview: 40%
