Functions to be developed:

  • Develop and debug CFD-DEM algorithms for dense, transient particle-laden flows.
  • Draft research papers on the topic of CFD-DEM.
  • Report work done and defend research ideas in public.

 
Required skills:

  • Good mastery of C++ and Python languages.
  • Mastery of CFD-DEM algorithms.
  • Mastery of finite element methods (FEMs) for fluid mechanics

 
Other valued skills (not mandatory):

  • Good written english.
  • Strong analytical skills. 
  • Solid knowledge of fluid mechanics and suspension physics.
  • Familiarity with the Kratos Multiphysics framework.

Qualification system:

The requisites and merits will be evaluated with a maximum note of 100 points. Such maximal note will be obtained summing up the following points:

  • Academic qualifications: 10 %
  • Training and development: 10 %
  • Professional experience: 30 %
  • Knowledge of the Catalan language: 5 %
  • Knowledge of the English language: 10 %
  • Selective tests and interview: 35 %
