Functions to be developed:

This is a full-time Data Engineer in big data who should work in hybrid mode at the CIMNE-Terrassa offices, located in the city of Terrassa. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing some ingestion and data harmonization packages of our big data infrastructure (ENMA). Further works related to developing Graph-based neural networks fed by the harmonized data are also expected.

 
Required skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Previous experience in designing and implementing scalable data systems
  • Hands-on experience in NoSQL databases
  • Experience working with distributed systems, messaging queues, and stream-processing frameworks
  • Experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data processing
  • Excellent coding skills in at least one programming language, preferably Python
  • Active participation in innovation projects
  • Support in the development of proposals and projects
  • Contribution to the development of products, software, or services according to project or contract expectations
  • Collaboration in establishing and maintaining relationships with companies and/or governmental or public institutions
  • Contribution to the writing and publication of applied research papers, reports for industry or public institutions (including confidential reports), professional practice guides, technical guidelines, technical books, expert opinion papers, etc.

 
Other valued skills (not mandatory):

  • High level of English
  • Spanish or Catalan
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 
Qualification system:

 
The requisites and merits will be evaluated with a maximum note of 100 points. Such maximal note will be obtained summing up the following points:

  • Academic qualifications: 20%
  • Training and development: 15%
  • Professional experience: 15%
  • Knowledge of the Catalan language: 5%
  • Knowledge of the English language: 5%
  • Selective tests and interview: 40%
