Functions to be developed:

This is a full-time Data Engineer in big data who should work in hybrid mode at the CIMNE-Lleida offices, located in the city of Lleida. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing some ingestion and data harmonisation packages of our big data infrastructure (ENMA). This includes data mapping and data harmonisation of a wide variety of data sources.

Required skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in designing and implementing scalable data systems, including experience in big data frameworks like Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, and Apache Kafka
• Hands-on experience in NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, HBase, and Node4j
• Experience working with distributed systems, messaging queues, and stream-processing frameworks
• Experience in data warehousing, ETL processes, and data processing
• Excellent coding skills in at least one programming language, preferably Python

Other valued skills (not mandatory):

• High level of English
• Spanish or Catalan
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Qualification system:

The requisites and merits will be evaluated with a maximum note of 100 points. Such maximal note will be obtained summing up the following points:

• Level of education studies: 25%
• Previous work experience in the field of the position: 30%
• Programming skills: 30%
• Language skills: 5%
• Communication/Teaching skills: 10%
