The International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) is a research centre, created in 1987 by consortium between the Catalan Government and the Technical University of Catalunya, devoted to the development and application of numerical methods to a wide range of areas in engineering. CIMNE has been selected as a Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence for the period 2019-2023.

Functions to be developed:
CIMNE is looking for a PhD Researcher to be part of the Research and Technical Development (RTD) Group on “Hydrogeology”, within the RTD Area of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The Hydrogeology Group of UPC (GHS), a new RTD Group within CIMNE, has wide expertise in the development of Numerical Methods for environmental engineering applications. It has participated in 5 projects in the field under the FP5-FP7 EC, Consolider-Ingenio or JPI programs. In the last year, a new JPI project, an International Training Network and a RISE project have been awarded, leading to an extension of the International network of institutions that GHS is collaborating with.
