On November 27th, 2018, HPC-Cloud-based seakeeping design, a project based on the creation of an advanced tool for the evaluation of sea behaviour based on SeaFEM and coordinated by Compass IS*, has received the Disruption Award.
The prize awarded by the I4MS, an EU initiative to digitalise the manufacturing industry, was announced in Warsaw, during the Digital Innovation Hubs Annual Event.
The EC Commissioner Mariya Gabriel, from DGConnect, and Jadwiga Emilewicz, the Polish Minister for Entrepreneurship and technology, visited the CompassIS booth after the award ceremony and talked to Clara García and Tomi Ilijas who explained the potential market for this SeaFEM solution and similar solutions for Manufacturing in SMEs (see photo below).
