Professor Antonio Gens delivers the Terzaghi Oration

Professor Antonio Gens has delivered the Terzaghi Oration at the 20th International Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering held in Sydney (Australia). The Terzaghi Oration is the preeminent lecture of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE). It was instituted to recognize a person of distinction and outstanding in his or her contribution to geotechnical engineering. The Terzaghi Oration is delivered quadrennially at each ISSMGE International Conference as a tribute to Professor Karl Terzaghi, first President of the International Society.
