Closing session of the RIS3CAT Community Industries for Future

On June 9 2021, RIS3CAT Community Industries for Future (IdF, according to its acronym in Catalan) held its closing session at the AC Hotels in Barcelona. The community has constituted a pole of innovation in efficient and sustainable manufacturing, hosting the development of four projects. Co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) and Acció (Generalitat of Catalonia), CIMNE participates in AVINT, a project led by EURECAT and consisting of the design of machining strategies and roughness prediction for an integrity optimal surface.

Closing session presentation at AC Hotels

The results of the project were presented in this closing session which counted with 300 attendees (half online and the other half in person). Jordi Palmiola, the coordinator of the community, addressed administrative topics as well as presented the conferences of the partners that took place in the Industry 4.0 Congress. 

Zeljko Pazin, Executive Director of the EFFRA, European Factories of the Future Research Association, was in charge of the talk “Made in Europe Partnership & EFFRA”. After that, Joan Guasch, Director of International Development and Public Programmes at EURECAT, explained the NextGenEU and DIH4CAT funds in his talk. The Technical Coordinator of the Community IdF, Joan Rigat, closed the session by presenting the subsequent demonstrators' visit at the Advanced Factories Fair.
