Eugenio Oñate, the top-ranked scientist of the UPC in the Webometrics ranking

Eugenio Oñate, General Director of CIMNE and Full Research Professor at UPC is the most cited scientist of Technical University of Catalonia for the second consecutive year. With 23485 citations and an H index of 72, is at the 307th position of the ranking of Spanish scientists based on Google Scholar. The study, published in February 2020 by Webometrics and based on Google Scholar citations, counts with a highlighted presence of CIMNE scientists in its top-10: Antonio Gens, the team leader of CIMNE Geomechanics group, is in the third position (446th position in the Spanish ranking, with an H index of 66 and 19143 citations) and Eduardo Alonso, in the seventh position of the UPC (825th position in the Spanish ranking, with an H index of 57 and 16429 citations).
