18th Short Course on Computational Plasticity

📍 Barcelona

📅 1-2 September 2025

The European Community on Computational Methods in Applied Sciences (ECCOMAS) organizes this short course as a prelude to the XVIII International Conference on Computational Plasticity. Fundamentals and Applications (COMPLAS 2025).

This course is aimed at participants interested in acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the application of finite element techniques to a range of plasticity problems; particularly those involving finite strains.

The course will cover topics such as:

  • Computational Plasticity: Basic Principles and Theory

  • Elasto-Plasticity/Viscoplasticity with Finite Strains

  • Finite Element Technology for Isochoric Problems

  • Plastic anisotropy and failure analysis: Applications to sheet metal forming

The CIMNE Congress Bureau leads the Secretariat for the event.

Registration

The registration fee covers the extended course material, coffee breaks and lunches, and administrative support.

Early bird fee: €575
Regular fee: €675

A 20% reduction in the course fee will be offered to participants to both the course and the COMPLAS 2025 Conference
