ABSTRACT

The Government of Catalonia and CIMNE are creating the Piksel model/simulation-oriented GIS++ platform to support decision making and predictive capacity of territorial management. GIS simulations and models are labor intensive to construct – opening the system to outside participation is key to ensuring new content and functionality. The Piksel Marketplace will allow the platform to incorporate new providers – their participation will greatly enhance the catalog of offerings (models, simulations, data) available in the system. We will outline our proposal to develop this software, explaining marketplace types, our development so far, and future steps.

This Coffee Talk will be given in English.
