CIMNE unveils a guide with funding opportunities for researchers

Mar 4, 2024

The International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) has published a “one-stop reference guide” summarizing all funding opportunities for researcher careers at CIMNE, ranging from junior PhD students to established faculty.

The document, authored by CIMNE’s Project Management Office, is divided in two parts. On the first page, it highlights European, Spanish, and Catalan funding within the Public and Private sectors based on the European Framework for research careers. It shows the contract length and the first and last possible years to apply.

The second page summarizes common application deadlines for the grants, including European Research Council (ERC) grants, Ramón y Cajal fellowships and Beatriu de Pinós funding.

The calendar is designed to serve candidates interested in developing their research career in numerical methods and computational techniques in engineering and applied sciences. CIMNE conducts advanced computational engineering research in fields ranging from civil engineering and mobility to industrial processes and biomedical technology.

CIMNE is part of CERCA, the group of research centres of excellence in Catalonia and a Severo Ochoa Center of Excellence, accredited by the Spanish State Research Agency.

Candidates interested in applying can contact CIMNE’s Project Office at fellowships@cimne.upc.edu
