Our Congress Bureau leads dozens of highly specialized events every year in the field of numerical methods and computational engineering. This provides our community with direct access to world-leading conferences as vibrant spaces for innovation and talent attraction.

Project Development and Project Offices
We speak the same language. Researchers working in our Project Development Office help the CIMNE community identify and apply for competitive research funding. Once obtained, the Project Office assists with navigating the administrative and compliance requirements.
UPC Card
As part of the CIMNE community, you will have a UPC Card. This university card will grant you access to exclusive services like access to the library of the Technical University of Catalonia-Barcelona Tech and discounts in sports and banking services.
Computing Infrastructure
Our centre has a dedicated computing cluster of 37 nodes and offers privileged access to High-Performance Computing (HPC) services. We provide researchers with advanced laboratories, commercial software and direct technical support. Advanced simulation solutions like GiD, ANURA 3D or Kratos Multiphysics are the brainchild of CIMNE researchers and are readily available to the community.

CIMNE is headquartered in Barcelona, at the hearth of the University District and within the Technical University of Catalonia – Barcelona Tech. Our campus is surrounded by parks and within a walking distance to the mountain, and easily accessible by bike or public transportation.

Work-life balance
CIMNE has a flexible working policy that includes remote work and reduced working hours on Fridays, Summer and Christmas. We also offer a flexible daily schedule and ad hoc arrangements for parents. Sick leave is supplemented to 100%.Â
Open Access publication
CIMNE has developed Scipedia, its own open access repository where the scientific community can publish its research results. We work with peer institutions and funding bodies to support open access publication when possible.
