Location
Barcelona is a cosmopolitan and lively city, with its whole past projected into its present. Its buildings and streets allow you to see the history of its growth since ancient times. At present, it has a great deal to offer: art, museums, architecture, beaches, shops, leisure, etc. The central part, known as Gothic Quarter, contains most of the buildings where the major events of the city have taken place since the Middle Ages: Palau de la Generalitat, Palau Reial Major, Cathedral, and many other interesting constructions. Many buildings from the cultural movement "Renaixença" can also be found, mostly in the "Eixample", including the Sagrada Família and the Casa Milà, by Antoni Gaudí.
Rain is unusual in Barcelona in July, but weather is generally hot (18°C-29°C) and humidity about 60%.
