ABSTRACT

The technology of low-cost biodigesters will be presented, such as organic waste treatment systems, fertilizer production and biogas. Some results obtained in research, in which CIMNE has participated, and which have allowed the evolution of technology in Latin America, will be included. Applied projects will be shown in which these biodigesters have been implemented in the Andes and the Amazon.

SPEAKER CV

From 2002 to 2006 he investigates in dynamic heat transfer models applied to bioclimatic architecture and components, exposed to real weather conditions, at the CIEMAT and the PSA (Spain), obtaining his PhD degree in 2006 (UNED). Since 2008, he has worked as researcher at the International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE, Spain). Most of his research projects has been carried out and coordinated in Latin America, where he has been living since 2009, first in Bolivia, and in the last 8 years in Ecuador.
