CIMNE Women
CIMNE champions gender diversity in engineering, advancing equality, inclusion and excellence through dedicated action plans that foster opportunities for women across all levels of the organization.
CIMNE is committed to building a more diverse and inclusive environment in engineering, where women can thrive, lead, excel and innovate. Guided by our Equality Plan (2022-2026), the Gender Equality Strategy in Science of the Catalan Government and the Catalan Law for Science (2022), we actively promote equal opportunities, professional growth and work-life balance for all the CIMNE community. While the engineering sector still faces challenges in attracting and retaining female talent, CIMNE recognizes this imbalance and has developed a comprehensive action plan to address it.
Our initiatives include transparent recruitment processes, targeted training, mentorship programmes, and specific measures to eliminate barriers and unconscious bias. Spearheaded by our gender equality committee, we foster a culture that values diversity, ensures equal pay for equal work, and supports the professional advancement of women in research and management roles. Through continuous evaluation and collaboration with the broader scientific community, CIMNE is dedicated to making gender equality a reality, reaffirming our belief that diversity drives excellence and innovation.
