The image shows a metallic additive manufacturing process with sparks and a nozzle depositing material onto cylindrical components. The FatSAM logo appears at the top, followed by the bold red title “SUMMER SCHOOL” and the event subtitle in white text.

The FatSAM Summer School 2026 —offered online and in-person at CIMNE in Barcelona— will revolve around the state of the art of fatigue behaviour, nonlinear modelling, and additive manufacturing within computational engineering. The programme offers a structured introduction to these topics, emphasising both theoretical foundations and practical applications.

By combining fundamental lectures, hands-on computational sessions using Kratos Multiphysics, and invited seminars delivered by leading specialists, the Summer School provides an environment that encourages learning, discussion, and exchange among participants. The sessions will cover fatigue assessment, nonlinear constitutive modelling, computational strategies, and their integration with additive manufacturing processes and experimental characterisation techniques.
