ABSTRACT

The Government of Catalonia and CIMNE are creating the Piksel model/simulation-oriented GIS++ platform to support decision making and predictive capacity of territorial management. GIS simulations and models are labor intensive to construct – opening the system to outside participation is key to ensuring new content and functionality.

The GIS++ platform is the central tool from which the results of the different challenges/models will be displayed. In this Coffee Talk, the architecture behind the visualization platform is explained and the integration of the models in the platform will be analyzed as the final point of this Piplates/Piksel special series.

The presentation will be given in Spanish.
