The entities ICAEN, IREC, Leitat, Eurecat, CIMNE and CEEC are the organizers of the 6th edition of the course on near-zero energy buildings (nZEB).

Newly built buildings will be almost zero energy buildings from the 31st December of 2020, according to European Directive 2010/31 / EU on energy efficiency in buildings. In the case of public buildings, the obligation was two years earlier, as of December 31st, 2018. These buildings have a high level of energy efficiency, and the almost zero or very low amount of energy required must be largely covered by renewable energy.
