ABSTRACT

CIMNE participated in the last VeRCoRs Nuclear Containment Benchmark organized by EDF in Paris this past August. The context of the benchmark will be explained together with the results obtained by the CIMNE Team, which will be shown in comparison with the results of other participants and experimental results obtained on the containment mock-up.

Our proposal was based on an innovative methodology for the numerical analysis of prestressed structures that will also be explained.

Sergio Jiménez is a MSc Civil Engineer, PhD student starting September 2018, working in the CIMNE team in charge of calculating the VeRCoRs Nuclear Containment Mock-up.
