| Abstract |
The Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities aims to promote high-impact research carried out in the R&D centers of Spain. The accredited centers stand out both for the international notoriety of the scientific contributions they make, and for their innovative capacity and their intense relationship with the business sector. They are also world reference centers capable of attracting international talent.
This Excellence Award recognized the international leadership of CIMNE and positions our center in the lists of top research centers in Spain for its outstanding role in the development of numerical methods and its application to many different fields if science and technology.
The center will receive one million euros per year for a period of four years (2019-2022) to develop its strategic research program consisting of 4 grand challenges: Design of meta-materials for engineering applications; Enhanced design of constructions, aircrafts and ships; Numerical Methods for a more competitive forming manufacturing industry; and Numerical Methods for a more environmentally-friendly and safer planet |
