Abstract Exporting activities of companies should be accompanied of the one belong to the research, development and innovation sector (R+D+i). The internationalization process CIMNE began in 2009, as a result of the obvious need for greater globalization of R & D, with the intention to take a prominent place in a truly international level as an excellence research centre. CIMNE has been evoluting in accordance with the transformation of national and international context. Thus, from its origins CIMNE has felt as a priority need to respond to international opportunities, ie the European Union. After two decades to consolidate this model, essential in the strategy of looking for excellence, CIMNE expands its search beyond Europe. From its inception the center has had scientists from around the world, but it is necessary identify scientific talent and have the appropriate means and channels to access to it anywhere in the world. At the same time it also becomes a priority to provide the best scientific career opportunities to the best worldwide talents. To make the process more dynamic, CIMNE has established various strategic operations offices covering the major world regions: - Santa Fe (Argentina), with the mission of coordinating the activities of CIMNE projects in Latin America and the Network of CIMNE Classrooms; - Washington D.C. (United States), with the task of representing CIMNE in the multilateral organizations that have headquarters in the U.S. and simultaneously be the base of operations and ongoing contact with U.S. government agencies; - Beijing (China), about to set up, aimed at promoting projects within the framework of the initiatives AeroChina I, II, and GRAIN, and exploring new opportunities; - Singapore with the mission to promote and experiment with new numerical techniques that combine technology with CIMNE IHPC technology (Institute of High Performance Computing). Singapore is one of the most important business center in East Asia and Oceania; The objective of this action is the establishment of research groups at the offices of CIMNE with local staff that allows: 1. to transmit CIMNE’s philosophy and to integrate research methodology into our teams abroad; 2. access to funding sources that require research staff in the country of the call; During this period, research lines will be defined for each office according to the feasibility study done and to the ability to access to calls offered by the R & D organizations in the country. Each office will be sized according to the line of competitive projects to apply to, while it is necessary to establish a first research group to present the proposals. At the level of CIMNE as global research center, this professionalization of Internationalization will provide a broader scientific challenges vision of the highest level where it is necessary to invest efforts in order to compete and collaborate internationally.
