Abstract |
The main objective of the FIPSEE trial project is to customise existing web services and simulation tools provided by the consortium and validate their practical use for end-users in the food sector.
Different web-interfaces will be considered in order to provide a rapid transfer to the marketplace. Three main services will be offered: training, state-of-the-art information repository and remote computation tools.
The two first services are based on a well tested virtual environment developed by CIMNE and advanced Internet structures to manage information. The third service will consist in a set of several tools to obtain relevant parameters of the most important operations (thermal pasteurisation, sterilisation and refrigeration -freezing), based in works done by IIM-CSIC and KULeuven. The software architecture will facilitate the a posteriori addition of other operations. Non-expert users will be able to readily use FIPSEE focussing on their own processes and problems rather than taking care of numerical solver issues and/or software modules. |
