CV | Mr. Alberto Tena (M) is a Project Manager, RTD Technical Pre-Award Manager and Research Engineer in the ICT Research Group of CIMNE. He holds a degree in Telecommunications Engineering and a Master's Degree in Applied Telecommunications and Engineering Management (MASTEAM) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). Since 2006, he has participated in more than 20 RTD projects in the development of ICT Technologies in various disciplines, such as Health, Environment, Civil Engineering, Tourism, Aerospace and Naval fields. He has technically coordinated several national and international RTD proposals and has participated in several research projects as Project Coordinator, Work Package Coordinator, Task Responsible and Research Engineer gathering expertise in the whole process, from the beginning of the idea conception to the management and execution of the project. As Research Engineer, Alberto has wide experience developing IoT networks, Artificial Intelligence applications and Speech Analysis Technologies in various disciplines, such as Health, Environment, Civil Engineering, Tourism, Aerospace and Naval fields. As Senior RTD Proposals Manager, Alberto drives to significantly increase research income by taking a proactive role in identifying national and international funding sources and supporting grant applications. As Technical Project Manager, Alberto has a great deal of organizational prowess, leadership capability and communication skills in order to be successful adding technological knowledge in and expertise in ICT Technologies. Currently, he is doing his doctoral thesis in the Doctoral Program Engineering and Information Technologies (RD 99/2011) of the University of Lleida, in collaboration with the Functional Unit of Motoneurona - Neurology Service of the Hospital Universitari de Bellvitge. His thesis consists in Voice Markers for a Predictor for the Early Detection of Bulbar Involvement in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Patients. This research is based on the application of Speech Analysis and Artificial Intelligence Techniques for selection, extraction and combination of ALS Patients’ Voice Features to evaluate which Voice Features and Techniques offers a better performance. Summarizing, Alberto gathers high competences in research, technical and managerial skills, and high levels of expertise to apply for RTD funding programs. |
