Degree in Informatics Engineering with a M.Sc. in Computing and member of the Eurographics Association.

Currently PhD candidate in Computing at the Barcelona School of Informatics (UPC), focusing on 'Mesh simplification for simulation analysis and visualization'.

Currently working as researcher at the International Center for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE), as member of the development team of GiD (www.gidhome.com), a generic graphical environment for pre/post-processing devoted to numerical simulations. GiD has received the award 'City of Barcelona 2002', and also has been awarded by the European Information Society Technologies Prize Organization as one of the 2002 European IST Prize Winners.

Current research topics are:
· post-process and visualization,
· large model visualization,
· mesh and results simplification, and
· Big Data for scientific visualization.
