CV Dr. Abel Coll is a Civil Engineer. He began his PhD in CIMNE in 2004 being part of the GiD development team (). Now he is the coordinator of the Pre and Post-processing department of CIMNE.His main research lines are mesh generation and computational geometry.He is the co-chairman of the GiD Convention, which is held each two years as a meeting point between GiD users and developers.He has been involved in several European research projects, and now is the Project Leader of VELaSSCo project (), which is based in advanced postprocessing and visualization of simulation results using Big Data technology.
