| CV | Doctor in Structural Analysis and Civil Engineer by the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and lecturer at the same university since 2011, his research work has been focused mainly on 'Particle Methods'. Among them, particular effort was put on the PFEM and the DEM. He has experience in the numerical CFD simulation of waves (PFEM), fluid-structure interaction, off-shore structures, breakwaters and particle transport in fluids (DEM-FEM and DEM-PFEM). In the last years, his research has focused more on the analysis of drilling processes for the Oil industry, like the hole cleaning (cuttings transport), drill bit mechanics and drill string mechanics. He is also the coordinator of the DEMPack Team (the group of researchers developing the DEM application based on the Kratos Multiphysics framework - www.cimne.com/dempack) and has been one of the members of the Kratos Technical Management Team (KTMT). |
