{"id":241593,"date":"2021-08-25T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-08-24T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cimne.com\/sin-categoria\/cimne-and-fwn-start-up-their-first-portable-desalination-pilot-plant\/"},"modified":"2021-08-25T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2021-08-24T22:00:00","slug":"cimne-and-fwn-start-up-their-first-portable-desalination-pilot-plant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cimne.com\/es\/cimne-and-fwn-start-up-their-first-portable-desalination-pilot-plant\/","title":{"rendered":"CIMNE and FWN start up their first portable desalination pilot plant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CIMNE has designed, developed and built, in cooperation with its spin-off&nbsp; <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/freshwaternature.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Fresh Water Nature, SL (FWN)\">Fresh Water Nature, SL (FWN)<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>its first portable desalination pilot plant, based on its patented vacuum distillation technology.<\/strong> <span>The CIMNE and FWN technical team started up the pilot plant at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atl.cat\/es\/desalinizadora-del-llobregat_2458\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Llobregat Desalination Plant\"><strong>Llobregat Desalination Plant<\/strong><\/a> operated by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atl.cat\/es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.atl.cat\/es\"><strong>ATL<\/strong><\/a> (Ter-Llobregat Water Supply).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The researchers carried out tests in a relevant environment as a part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ariema.com\/sobre-ariema\/proyectos\/proyecto-shaky\"><strong>SHAKY project<\/strong><\/a>, in which the<strong><span>&nbsp;<\/span>residual heat from hydrogen electrolysis<\/strong><span>&nbsp;<\/span>(<strong><a title=\"Ariema\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ariema.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ariema<\/a><\/strong>) and the<strong><span>&nbsp;<\/span>residual cold from LNG regasification<\/strong><span>&nbsp;<\/span>(<a title=\"E4Efficiency\" href=\"https:\/\/e4efficiency.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>E4Efficiency<\/strong><\/a>) drive the production of high purity fresh water, which is at the same time the&nbsp;raw material for hydrogen generation.<strong>The combination of this three technologies constitutes an example of circular economy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Collaborating entity with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdti.es\/index.asp?MP=100&amp;MS=806&amp;MN=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"FEDER\">FEDER INNTERCONECTA<\/a> project:<\/strong> &laquo;Shaky: Funded by: FEDER \/ <a href=\"https:\/\/ciencia.sede.gob.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities\">Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities<\/a> &#8211; State Research Agency.
