The Terzaghi Oration is the preeminent lecture of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.issmge.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"ISSMGE\"><strong>International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE)<\/strong><\/a>. It was instituted to recognize a person of distinction and outstanding in his or her contribution to geotechnical engineering.
