The first one was <strong>Alberto Tena<\/strong>, who presented <em>Automated disease detection by machine learning and bio-sound analysis<\/em> on 3rd June, 2022, within the framework of Engineering and Information Technologies programme of the University of Lleida. Directed by <strong>Francesc Solsona<\/strong> and <strong>Francisco Clari&aacute;<\/strong>, the thesis was qualified with an Excellent cum Laude.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/cvdata\/cntr2\/dtos\/mdia\/$nws\/tena-alberto.png\" alt=\"Alberto tena\" width=\"768\" height=\"auto\" style=\"padding-bottom: 5px\" \/><br \/><span class=\"cimne green\">Alberto Tena during a congress in 2019<\/span><\/p>\n<hr style=\"float: none\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cimne.com\/cvdata\/cntr2\/spc2\/dtos\/mdia\/News\/xufei-lu.jpg\" style=\"float: left;margin-right: 15px;margin-bottom: 15px;border: 1px solid #CCC\" alt=\"xufei lu\" width=\"150\" height=\"auto\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On 15th June, 2022, <strong>Xufei Lu<\/strong> presented his thesis&nbsp;<em>Computational and experimental thermo-mechanics of metal additive manufacturing: stress, warpage, cracks and properties <\/em>directed by Michele Chiumenti and Miguel Cervera within the Structural Analysis of the Technical University of Catalonia. It was also qualified with an Excellent cum Laude.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: none;clear: both;height: 1px\"><\/div>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Professors Chiumenti and Cervera has also directed the thesis<em> Finite element simulation of additive manufacturing with enhanced accuracy<\/em> of <strong>Carlos Moreira<\/strong>, within the programme of Civil Engineering of the Technical University of Catalonia presented on 21th July, 2022, and qualified with an Excellent cum Laude.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cimne.com\/cvdata\/cntr2\/spc2\/dtos\/mdia\/News\/Tribunal-carlosmoreira.jpg\" alt=\"Carlos Moreira\" width=\"768\" style=\"padding-bottom: 5px\" \/><br \/><span class=\"cimne green\">Carlos Moreira with his directors and the thesis comittee after his defence <\/span><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cimne.com\/cvdata\/cntr2\/spc2\/dtos\/mdia\/News\/foto_mcoma.png\" alt=\"Mart&iacute; Coma\" width=\"150\" style=\"float: left;padding-right: 15px\" \/>On 26th July, 2022, <strong>Mart&iacute; Coma<\/strong> defended his PhD thesis&nbsp;<em>Optimization on industrial problems focussing on multi-player strategies<\/em> directed by Gabriel Bugeda and Jordi Pons under the programme Science and Aerospace Technology of the Technical University of Catalonia.
