It is written in C++ and is designed to allow collaborative development by large teams of researchers focusing on modularity as well as on performance. The Kratos features a «core» and «applications» approach where «standard tools» (databases, linear algebra, search structures, etc…) come as a part of the core and are available as building blocks in the development of «applications» which focus on the solution of the problems of interest. Its ultimate goal is to simplify the development of new numerical methods.

See Kratos on Github

About Deltares

Deltares has successfully implemented a several numerical geotechnical kernels using this Finite Element Framework, culminating in the Geo-Mechanics Application.
