On October 9th<\/sup>, the Abertis<\/a><\/strong> Chair Spain, associated with the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid<\/a><\/strong>, awarded its 20th<\/sup> Abertis Awards<\/strong> for research into sustainable mobility to the best master's and doctoral theses on road infrastructure management and road safety.<\/p>\n

Andrés Reyes Díaz<\/a><\/strong>, CIMNE researcher at CENIT's Multimodal Transport Group, was awarded the Abertis Prize for the best Master's Dissertation project in Spain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

His project, \u00abLife cycle analysis of electric and hydrogen buses to improve decision making\u00bb<\/strong><\/a>, provides a holistic view of the environmental impact<\/strong> of both technologies throughout the life cycle of the buses studied.<\/p>\n

With this award, Andrés Reyes Díaz successfully completes his academic journey, achieving the second highest academic ranking in his graduating class. He was also awarded the Cerdà Futur Award<\/strong><\/a> by the <\/span>Professional Association of Civil Engineers of Catalonia<\/strong><\/a>, which recognises the work of young engineers.
