El grupo emplea principalmente modelos continuos mientras explora aspectos multiescala en estrecha colaboraci\u00f3n con investigadores experimentales, con el objetivo de comprender c\u00f3mo los gradientes de deformaci\u00f3n influyen en la f\u00edsica de los diel\u00e9ctricos y establecer principios de ingenier\u00eda para los metamateriales electromec\u00e1nicos de pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>El grupo ha establecido un marco te\u00f3rico integral para la flexoelectricidad tanto en deformaci\u00f3n infinitesimal como finita, aclarando las conexiones entre diferentes familias de formulaciones y sus interpretaciones f\u00edsicas. El grupo tambi\u00e9n se centra en el dise\u00f1o de dispositivos y metamateriales flexoel\u00e9ctricos que logren propiedades piezoel\u00e9ctricas efectivas a partir de componentes no piezoel\u00e9ctricos.<\/p>\n<p>Una l\u00ednea de investigaci\u00f3n emergente es la modelizaci\u00f3n te\u00f3rica y computacional de la flexofotovoltaica, con el objetivo de dise\u00f1ar y optimizar una nueva familia de c\u00e9lulas solares mediante el estudio de la interacci\u00f3n entre la deformaci\u00f3n mec\u00e1nica y las propiedades fotovoltaicas.
