{"id":242450,"date":"2022-09-27T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-09-26T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cimne.com\/sin-categoria\/kratos-workshop-2022\/"},"modified":"2022-09-27T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-09-26T22:00:00","slug":"kratos-workshop-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cimne.com\/ca\/kratos-workshop-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Kratos Workshop 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cimne.com\/cvdata\/cntr2\/spc2\/dtos\/mdia\/News\/Banner-DSD-INT-2022-900x460px.jpg\" alt=\"Kratos\" width=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This year Deltares will host the<strong> Kratos Multiphysics Workshop 2022<\/strong>, as part of the <strong>Delft Software Days &#8211; Edition 2022 (DSD-INT 2022).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Kratos workshop 2022 will be held on Wednesday &#8211; Thursday, 09 &#8211; 10 November 2022<\/strong>, at Deltares premises (Boussinesqweg 1, Delft) in<strong>&nbsp;The Netherlands<\/strong>. <strong>This will be a venue for all users and developers of Kratos worldwide to present and discuss the latest applications, new scientific insights in modelling<\/strong>, not only in the Computational Geo-Mechanics field, but in the wider application base of Kratos. The second day will also enable users to ask questions directly to Kratos technical committee and team of developers.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"cimne blue-background\">What is Kratos?<\/h4>\n<p>Kratos is an <strong>Open-Source framework for the implementation of numerical methods for the solution of engineering problems<\/strong>. It is written in C++ and is designed to allow collaborative development by large teams of researchers focusing on modularity as well as on performance. The Kratos features a &#8220;core&#8221; and &#8220;applications&#8221; approach where &#8220;standard tools&#8221; (databases, linear algebra, search structures, etc&#8230;) come as a part of the core and are available as building blocks in the development of &#8220;applications&#8221; which focus on the solution of the problems of interest. Its ultimate goal is to simplify the development of new numerical methods.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"cimne blue-background\">About Deltares<\/h4>\n<p>Deltares has successfully implemented a several numerical geotechnical kernels using this Finite Element Framework, culminating in the Geo-Mechanics Application.
