{"id":241732,"date":"2020-11-27T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2020-11-26T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cimne.com\/sin-categoria\/cimne-collaborates-with-pucp-to-develop-a-software-to-improve-the-manufacture-of-3d-hand-prostheses\/"},"modified":"2020-11-27T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2020-11-26T23:00:00","slug":"cimne-collaborates-with-pucp-to-develop-a-software-to-improve-the-manufacture-of-3d-hand-prostheses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cimne.com\/ca\/cimne-collaborates-with-pucp-to-develop-a-software-to-improve-the-manufacture-of-3d-hand-prostheses\/","title":{"rendered":"CIMNE collaborates with PUCP to develop a software to improve the manufacture of 3D hand prostheses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CIMNE <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/space\/1159\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Industrial Manufacturing Processes\">Industrial Manufacturing Processes<\/a><\/strong> research group, led by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/sgp\/dir\/Profile.aspx?id=396\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Professor Michele Chiumenti\">Professor Michele Chiumenti<\/a><\/strong>, works, in collaboration with different working groups of the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/aulas.cimne.com\/spacehome\/3\/1137\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP)\">Pontifical Catholic University&nbsp;of&nbsp;Peru (PUCP)<\/a><\/strong>, on a project funded by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gob.pe\/concytec\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"concytec\"><strong>Concytec<\/strong><\/a> for the <strong>optimization of the design and production process of final pieces for hand prostheses.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Within the framework of this project, <strong>a specific software of numerical simulation is developed<\/strong>. &ldquo;The idea is to develop a numerical instrument to analyze the structural behavior of components manufactured by <b>Fused Filament Fabrication<\/b> (FFF). Previously, this technology has been used only for rapid prototyping. Now it is intended to use with structural functionalities. We are working on it.
