{"id":241597,"date":"2021-07-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-07-22T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cimne.com\/sin-categoria\/call-for-applications-to-the-position-of-director-general-of-cimne\/"},"modified":"2021-07-23T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2021-07-22T22:00:00","slug":"call-for-applications-to-the-position-of-director-general-of-cimne","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cimne.com\/ca\/call-for-applications-to-the-position-of-director-general-of-cimne\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for applications to the position of Director General of CIMNE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/vnews\/11361\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Director general\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cimne.com\/cvdata\/cntr2\/spc2\/dtos\/mdia\/News\/high.jpg\" alt=\"Call for applications\" style=\"float: left;padding-right: 15px;padding-top: 5px;margin-bottom: 50px\" width=\"215\" height=\"215\" \/><\/a>The International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE)<\/strong> has launched a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/vnews\/11361\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Call for applications\"><strong>call for applications for the position of&nbsp;Director General<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;of the centre.<\/p>\n<p>This is part of a plan proposed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/sgp\/dir\/Profile.aspx?id=518\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Eugenio O&ntilde;ate\"><strong>Professor Eugenio O&ntilde;ate<\/strong><\/a> (the current director and founder of the centre in 1987) and in agreement with the institutions that support CIMNE (the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.gencat.cat\/ca\/inici\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Government of Catalonia\"><strong>Government of Catalonia<\/strong><\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.gencat.cat\/ca\/inici\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Technical University of Catalonia\"><strong>Technical University of Catalonia<\/strong><\/a> <span>&mdash;<\/span>UPC &middot; BarcelonaTech<span>&mdash;<\/span>), in order to ensure a generational change in all the positions of responsibility of the centre.<\/p>\n<p>As a centre belonging to the <a href=\"https:\/\/cerca.cat\/centres-cerca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"CERCA\"><strong>CERCA system<\/strong><\/a>, the selection process of the most suitable candidate for the position will be managed directly by CERCA. <strong>The new Director General should take up the position in the first months of 2022<\/strong>. <span lang=\"EN-GB\"> From that moment on,&nbsp;<strong><span>the current director of the centre will collaborate with the new Director General<\/span><\/strong>, mainly<strong><span> through his position as Scientific Director of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/2056\/3201\/rch1-construction-and-transport\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Severo Ochoa Program of Excellence at CIMNE\">Severo Ochoa Program of Excellence at CIMNE<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, to <strong>ensure that CIMNE continues to progress<\/strong>, in a sustainable manner, as a <strong><span>centre of reference in its field at an international level.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) has launched a&nbsp;call for applications for the position of&nbsp;Director General&nbsp;of the centre.
