During the event, CIMNE researchers presented their analysis and proposals about<strong>&nbsp;how to combat the accelerated erosion of the Delta de l&#039;Ebre (Tarragona, Spain)<\/strong>. They showed the technology of inflatable breakwaters developed by CIMNE to the attendees and&nbsp;<strong>explained the results of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/vnews\/2729\/11241\/successful-experimental-test-of-new-inflatable-breakwater-model\">PRODUCTE project on inflatable breakwaters for coastal sediment management<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/app.livecasts.eu\/la-defensa-de-los-grandes-deltas-europeos\/program\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cimne.com\/cvdata\/cntr2\/spc2\/dtos\/mdia\/News\/miLrszt0RGqWlxPc.png\" alt=\"Intervention European Parliament\" width=\"768\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/app.livecasts.eu\/la-defensa-de-los-grandes-deltas-europeos\/program\"><button class=\"btn btn-default\">&#8220;La Defensa de los Grandes Deltas Europeos: El Ebro, Degradaci&oacute;n y Soluciones&#8221; [Watch video]<\/button><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The director of the Maritime Engineering Laboratory (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/lim.upc.edu\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"LIM\">LIM<\/a><\/strong>, according its acronym in Spanish) of the Technical University of Catalonia, <a href=\"https:\/\/directori.upc.edu\/directori\/dadesPersona.jsp?id=1000666\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Sanchez Arcilla\"><strong>Professor Agust&iacute;n S&aacute;nchez-Arcilla<\/strong><\/a>, also participated virtually at the conference to present the objectives of the <a href=\"https:\/\/rest-coast.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"rest-coast\"><strong>REST-COAST<\/strong><\/a> project.<\/p>\n<p>The presentation and the proposals of the CIMNE researchers have raised great interest from the members of the delegation from Delta de l&#039;Ebre and from the <strong>Director General for the Environment of the European Commission<\/strong>, Mr. Humberto Delgado Rosa.
