These awards are recognized globally as the highest honours in the field of composite materials.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">The FIBRE4YARDS project has promoted the development of <strong>ground-breaking manufacturing technologies<\/strong> utilizing composite materials, transforming shipyard processes with automation and modular construction techniques. Additionally, the project has introduced tools for creating a <strong>digital twin of the shipyard<\/strong>, enhancing production and maintenance efficiencies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">This research promises to <strong>elevate production quality, minimize environmental impact, and reduce the costs<\/strong> associated with composite material shipbuilding by using advanced technologies and data sharing concepts in a universal, scalable framework.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cimne.com\/cvdata\/cntr2\/spc2\/dtos\/mdia\/News\/FIBRE4YARDS_project_cimne.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">The project, involving <strong>thirteen partners from six European countries<\/strong>, has been coordinated by Dr. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/sgp\/dir\/Profile.aspx?id=488\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Xavier Martinez Garcia<\/strong><\/a> of CIMNE&rsquo;s Research Cluster in Aeronautical, Naval, Automotive, and Energy Engineering.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.2em\"><strong>Nine cross-cutting experts at CIMNE<\/strong> have taken part in the project, including researchers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/sgp\/dir\/Profile.aspx?id=682\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Julio Garcia<\/a>, Dr.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/sgp\/dir\/Profile.aspx?id=408\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daniel di Capua<\/a>, Dr. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/sgp\/dir\/Profile.aspx?id=658\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fermin Otero<\/a>, Dr. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/sgp\/dir\/Profile.aspx?id=575\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Borja Serv&aacute;n<\/a>, Dr.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/sgp\/dir\/Profile.aspx?id=1710\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rafael Pacheco<\/a>, Dr. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/sgp\/dir\/Profile.aspx?id=1760\">Francesc Turon<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/sgp\/dir\/Profile.aspx?id=2007\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Montserrat Dolz<\/a>, and Dr. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cimne.com\/sgp\/dir\/Profile.aspx?id=2160\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Raul Rubio<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 1.2em\">The winners will be announced on <strong>Monday, January 13, 2025.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cimne.com\/cvdata\/cntr2\/spc2\/dtos\/mdia\/News\/FIBRE4YARDS_premi_bannerENG.jpg\" alt=\"Image showing the logo of the FIBRE4YARDS project with the slogan &quot;Shipyard for the Future&quot;.
